GoFogo (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates gofogo.fun, a trustless penny auction platform built on the Fogo blockchain. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. Because GoFogo is a blockchain-based platform, some data — specifically on-chain auction activity — is public and permanent by design. This policy explains clearly what that means for you.

Information We Collect

Wallet Address

When you connect a wallet to GoFogo, we collect your public wallet address. This is required to attribute bid credits, auction participation, and prize claims to your account. Your private key is never accessed or stored — wallet connections are handled entirely by your wallet software.

On-Chain Transaction Data

Every bid you place, bid credit purchase, and prize claim is recorded as a public transaction on the Fogo blockchain. This data is publicly visible to anyone who inspects the block explorer and is not controlled by GoFogo. It is a permanent, immutable record of auction activity.

Usage and Analytics Data

We use Google Analytics to collect anonymized information about how visitors use the site — including pages visited, session duration, and general geographic region (country/city level). This data does not identify you personally and is used to improve the platform.

Shipping Information

If you win an auction for a physical prize, we collect the shipping address you provide during checkout. This information is used solely to fulfill prize delivery and is not shared with third parties beyond the shipping carrier required to complete delivery.

Support Communications

If you contact support, we retain the content of your message and any information you voluntarily provide (such as your wallet address or auction ID) to resolve your issue.

How We Use Your Information

Platform Operation

Your wallet address is used to operate your account — crediting bids, recording auction participation, and attributing wins. This is the core function of the platform.

Prize Fulfillment

Shipping information collected at checkout is used only to deliver your prize. We do not use this information for marketing.

Analytics and Improvement

Anonymized usage data from Google Analytics is used to understand platform performance and user experience — not to build personal profiles or target advertising.

Legal Compliance

We may process or disclose information when required by applicable law, regulation, or valid legal process.

Data Sharing and Third Parties

Google Analytics

We share anonymized usage data with Google through Google Analytics. Google's use of this data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

The Fogo Blockchain

Auction activity is recorded on the Fogo public blockchain. This is not a third-party data share in the traditional sense — it is a structural property of the platform. On-chain data is public and cannot be deleted.

Shipping Carriers

For physical prizes, your shipping address is shared with the carrier required to complete delivery (for example, USPS, UPS, or FedEx). No other personal data is shared with carriers.

No Sale of Personal Data

GoFogo does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for marketing purposes.

Data Retention and Deletion

On-Chain Data

Data recorded on the Fogo blockchain — including wallet addresses, bid transactions, and auction outcomes — is permanent and cannot be altered or deleted. This is an inherent property of public blockchains.

Off-Chain Data

Shipping addresses are retained for 90 days after prize fulfillment, then deleted. Support communications are retained for 12 months.

Analytics Data

Google Analytics data is retained in accordance with Google's standard data retention policies (typically 26 months).

Your Rights

Access and Correction

You may request access to the off-chain personal data we hold about you, or request correction of inaccurate data. Contact us at the email below.

Deletion

You may request deletion of off-chain personal data (such as shipping addresses or support records). Note that on-chain data cannot be deleted.

Opt-Out of Analytics

You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by using a browser with tracking protection enabled.
